Welcome to Richmond House
Richmond House provides a welcoming and supportive environment where we can accommodate up to eight families at any time.
Our purpose-built facility combines comfortable family accommodation with comprehensive assessment services, delivered by our experienced multi-disciplinary team.
We understand that every family's journey is different. As an independent service, we provide unbiased, professional assessments while creating a supportive environment where families can demonstrate and develop their parenting skills.
What we do
Since 2010, FA&SS has offered robust Social Work led parenting assessments at our family residential centre in Taunton, Somerset.
We offer robust, social worker led parenting assessments alongside offering high levels of support and supervision. Each assessment is tailored to meet the needs of each child and their parents.
All of our rooms are equipped to record visual and audio CCTV and we always operate with waking night staff team.
Our Role
Working alongside the Courts, we provide expert assessments to determine:
- Whether children can safely remain with their parents
- What support families need to stay together
- Practical steps towards independent family life
