Welcome to Richmond House. We understand that coming to stay with us might feel overwhelming, but we're here to help and support you and your family. We are an independent team of caring professionals who want to help you be the best parent you can be.

What to expect

Your Home While You're Here. We want you to feel comfortable here at Richmond House. You'll find plenty of space for you and your family, and we encourage you to bring some of your own belongings to make it feel more like home during your stay.

You will have
  • Your own private bedroom with access to communal living space for your family to spend time together, kitchen where you can prepare your family's meals, and bathroom.
  • or self-contained flat with bedroom, private bathroom, kitchen, and living space.

Your support team

You'll get to know our friendly team, including
  • Your social worker who will be your main support
  • Family Support workers available 24/7
  • Other professionals who can help with specific needs

Keeping everyone safe

To help keep everyone safe and to help us with our assessments, we do have monitoring in place:
  • CCTV and audio monitoring in bedrooms and shared areas
  • Staff observations throughout the day and night.
While we do need to do observations for assessment purposes, we always:
  • Respect your private time
  • Knock before entering your space
  • Handle personal information carefully
  • Explain what we're doing and why

We know this might sound a bit strange at first, but we'll explain everything properly when you arrive and answer any questions you have
